RED Modules
No additional ELT tool and no additional scheduler required: thanks to the ingenious simplicity and automation of the analytics platform, it only takes a fraction of the project lead time compared to before. We're talking days instead of weeks and months instead of years.
All data is historised two-dimensionally, bitemporally. This means that there is a functional and a technical validity period for each data record. This means that the valid version of a data record can be queried at any time and any changes to the data record can be tracked. Seamless historisation is an integral part of RED.
Rule-based, personalized access permissions are part of RED and are activated via simple statements. Each query only returns the rows and columns in the objects that are intended for the respective person. Queries in RED are executed via a view layer, which guarantees this additional, strict level of security.
RED Technology
The basis is a database with massive parallel processing technology. Specifically, an Exasol database. Technically the best MPP technology currently available on the market and absolutely affordable thanks to a fair, volume-oriented license model.
The database is regularly loaded or updated from any data source via RED's highly intelligent loading framework. Source and periodicity are configurable, the only limiting factor is the bandwidth of the network. Existing data structures are adopted largely unchanged. The specialist department works with familiar data structures and there is no need for complex data modeling. If the evaluation tool requires a star schema, this is generated virtually via views.

Ad-hoc Analyses Down to the Individual Record
Pre-aggregated data is a thing of the past. Thanks to the extreme performance in RED, the business layer is view-based and drilling down to data record level is a matter of course. Data can be queried where the requirements originate: in the specialist departments. This relieves the burden on IT and provides the specialist department with immediate answers to their questions.

A PoC (proof of concept) for your new analytics platform only takes a few days with the help of RED. Everything happens on your premises, your valuable data never leaves your premises. Exasol and RED are installed – in a virtual environment or optionally on a (rented) test server. Any data source is connected as an example, the preferred analytics tool is connected to RED and data analysis by the specialist department can begin.
