Exasol AI Analytics Roadshow 2024
Interesting insights into AI & Data Analytics from our technology partner – focus of our presentation on “Start Your Roadmap to AI Success on a Solid Foundation”
This year, Sphinx was once again represented at our partner Exasol's roadshow through Europe, stopping off in Vienna on June 27, with the motto of this year's event being “Experience the Power of AI and Data Analytics”.
As at previous events organized by our technology partner, this year's event was once again a highly exciting and technically interesting exchange – a joint journey of discovery through the cutting-edge world of artificial intelligence (AI) and its transformative impact on data analysis.
The latest developments and live demos were used to show how AI can revolutionize business processes and lead to unprecedented insights and potential, how AI/ML models can be developed and deployed – with seamless integration into the existing data infrastructure.
In his presentation at the event, Thomas Petrik, Head of Technology Consulting at Sphinx, elaborated on the topic “Start Your Roadmap to AI Success on a Solid Foundation”.
What are the key attributes of a “Solid Data Foundation”? Here are 3 examples:
- Data Quality
- Strict bi-temporal Historisation
- Consistent, fine grained Security
Appropriate measures (rules, reporting, ad hoc corrections) and processes must be put in place for data quality management to work. Among other things, it should be noted that any corrective measures must not affect the reproducibility of the reporting under any circumstances - keyword historization.
The rest of the presentation dealt with the levels & goals of database security”, their basic principles, security levels, the definition of object groups – as well as the particularly important topic of historisation: Among other things, it should be noted that any corrective measures must not affect the reproducibility of reporting under any circumstances.
You can find more information – including on the topic of historicization relating to master data, event data, the SCD dilemma (Slowly Changing Dimensions), the BSK (Business Surrogate Key) and technical historisation – in the presentation available for download.
