On June 26, 2024, the Viennese APEX community had the opportunity to take part in a special meetup at the Sphinx premises, which this time hosted an experienced expert from the Oracle world: Kevin Thyssen, Senior Oracle APEX Consultant at United Codes, inspired the attendees with practical presentations and valuable tips from his many years of professional experience.

Topic focus: Efficient reporting and JavaScript skills for APEX applications

Kevin Thyssen presented two main topics that can support APEX developers in their daily work. The first presentation was about “APEX Office Print”, a tool that significantly simplifies printing and reporting for APEX applications. Kevin then introduced the world of JavaScript and showed how to become a “JavaScript Jedi” through the targeted use of JavaScript in APEX. This session taught advanced techniques that are particularly valuable for APEX applications.

About the speaker

With over 15 years of experience in Oracle APEX development in various industries such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, finance and the public sector, Kevin Thyssen is considered an expert in his field. In addition to his passion for new technologies, he is also an avid cyclist.
